Sant'Armettu Domain

Created more than sixty years ago by Lucien Seroin and his son Paul, the Sant'Armettu domain blossoms in the south of Corsica, between sea and mountains. This ground and its enchanting beauty owes its name to a hermit passionated by plants with the gift of healing. The story of Saint Hermit deeply inspired Gilles Seroin, 5th generation of wine-grower in his family. Succeeding his father Paul, he knew how to develop his inheritance by exploiting all the potential of this wonderful vineyard. In this way, since the creation of its wine cellar in 1996, Sant'Armettu offers a rich sample group of wines with incredible aromas and very varied structures.
A remarkable skill that Gilles Seroin passes everyday on his children, Guillaume and Jeanne, to perpetuate this beautiful family journey. The wine's subtle language is a thing that we like to understand with passion here, at the Sant'Armettu domain.

Domaine Sant Armettu is located in the southwest of the Isle of Beauty

In 1964, Paul Seroin, a young visionary, settled in this wild Corsican land bathed in the sun, for its tranquility but above all for the anticipated potential of its soils. It is in Sant'Armettu, that he chooses to anchor himself. Thus, Gilles decided in 1996 to join the operation, bringing a vision inspired by his years as a wine merchant, in contact with winegrowers from France and elsewhere.

Endemic grape varieties

Today, the estate has 40 hectares of vines. Thanks to ethical know-how, mixed with perseverance and patience, it is possible for Gilles and his children to work with island grape varieties such as "Rimenese", "Genovese", "Biancu Ghjentile", "Minustellu" , or even "Aleaticu". Once neglected, these ancestral grape varieties have become a real duty of memory at Domaine Sant'Armettu. Very well suited to the terroir, they offer different and unique aromas, directly borrowed from the riches of the maquis.
